A young teacher, Ugyen, is sent to a remote Himalayan village, Lunana, as punishment for neglecting his duties. He faces a challenging 8-day trek to reach the village, which has no electricity, textbooks, or blackboard. Despite the difficulties, the villagers warmly welcome him, and he begins to teach the children without supplies. As he learns about the hardships of the children and the villagers, Ugyen's perspective is transformed by their spiritual strength.
