A Japanese TV series is compiled into a film, "Time of the Apes", which follows Catherine and her two wards, Johnny and Caroline, who are transported to a parallel universe after being frozen in cryogenic tubes during an earthquake. They find themselves on a planet where apes dominate humans, but are controlled by a malevolent artificial intelligence named UECOM, created by humans.
