"Dead of Night" was a UK TV anthology series of supernatural stories, produced by the BBC and shown on BBC2 in 1972.

Dead of Night was an exclusive UK television anthology series centered on supernatural fiction produced by the BBC in 1972. The single-season series featured seven 50-minute episodes broadcast during autumn that year. Of the remaining content, three episodes—“The Exorcism,” “Return Flight,” and “A Woman Sobbing”—are still preserved in the BBC's archives. On December 22, 2007, BBC Four aired "The Exorcism" again as part of their revival. The complete series was released on DVD by the BFI in October 2013 with bonus content including a gallery of stills from missing episodes, downloadable scripts for all missing episodes, and essays and biographies by notable authors.
