The Men Who Tread on the Tiger's Tail background

The Men Who Tread on the Tiger's Tail

In this thrilling film, a cunning Japanese general and his troops don the robes of monks, employing a clever ruse to evade detection by an enemy border patrol.

In 1185, the Heike family clashes with the Minamoto family, leading to a bloody naval battle in the Pacific Ocean. Yoshitsune Minamoto emerges victorious, but his brother, Shogun Yoritomo, orders his arrest upon Yoshitsune's return to Kyoto. Yoshitsune escapes with six loyal samurais, including Benkei, and heads to the countryside to meet his friend Idehira Fukiwara. Disguising themselves as monks, they journey to the border, where they must evade detection by Kagiwara and his soldiers.
