Simba, the lion cub, is next in line to rule the jungle, but his uncle Scar's jealousy and deceit lead to tragedy. Believing he's responsible for his father's death, Simba abandons his kingdom and grows up in a distant land. Years later, his childhood friend Nala finds him and reveals the kingdom's decline, prompting Simba to consider reclaiming his rightful place as king.
