Cesare Celli, a retired Chicago mobster, returns to Naples, Italy, and is held up by a young American criminal, Harry Price, and his gang. When Celli reveals he has no money, he proposes getting back into the business with Harry to steal platinum ingots in transit. With the help of his old friend Professor Samuels, they plan to steal the platinum, but their inept gang, consisting of a mechanic, a violinist, a chef, and Harry's girlfriend, cause one problem after another.
