Genaro, a Dominican mulatto, works in a store-bar in Santo Domingo's slum, El Capotillo. He dreams of going to the United States with an older American woman. After finding a job at a family resort, he dresses up as a chicken to entertain children and tries to charm Martha, a young American. To win her over, he enlists the help of his friends, who entertain Martha's aunts and satisfy their sexual fantasies.
