Bavarian village police officer Franz Eberhofer's life is turned upside down when his girlfriend Susi distances herself and a neighboring hotel burns down, killing an attractive woman from Munich. To make matters worse, Franz is put on a strict diet by his doctor, forcing him to give up his beloved meatloaf. As he investigates the murder, he must navigate a complex web of suspects, including the victim's mother, a gay couple, and a local soccer star.
