However, after Henry demands a large sum of money for his paintings, which Mary eventually pays, she discovers he has abandoned his family in the rain. Mary, out of pity, lets Henry and his family stay with her, but soon her servants quit due to their unreasonable demands. As Henry's family grows, Mary realizes they are actually a gang of art thieves planning to imprison her to gain control of her art collection.
