A young woman, Suzuko, is forced to share an apartment with her ex-coworker's ex-boyfriend after a series of unfortunate events. When she finds a kitten and tries to care for it, her roommate's cruel behavior pushes her to extreme measures, resulting in her imprisonment. Upon release, Suzuko sets out to rebuild her life, seeking solitude and self-discovery through travel and correspondence with her younger brother.
