The trio jumps into the Hot Tub Time Machine, with Lou badly injured, and travels back in time to prevent his shooting. They find themselves 10 years in the future, on a mission to track down the culprit.
Nick and Jacob use the hot tub time machine to travel back to the past, but instead find themselves in the future with Adam Jr., and must now alter the future to save the present.
