Seven American lawyers, hired by Australian media magnate Jack Doulan, are infected by a fast-spreading virus during a video conference in Seattle. The virus wipes out everyone on their floor, and a brilliant virologist, Dr. Nick Baldwin, is the first to respond to the scene. He teams up with US Army disease specialist Dr. Samantha Carter to investigate the cause of the outbreak, which seems to be linked to Digicron's TV setup boxes. As they dig deeper, they discover that the virus enters the body through the eyes and may have evolved from a computer virus.
