Tina, a customs agent with a unique ability to detect human emotions, particularly guilt and fear, lives a seemingly ordinary life with her boyfriend Roland, her father, and a small group of friends. However, her appearance, which is described as grotesque and animal-like, has always made her feel self-conscious. When she stops a person carrying child pornography, her supervisor assigns her to an investigative unit to uncover the producers of the material. During her work, she meets Vore, an entomologist with similar physical features, and the two form a bond, leading Tina to question her own identity and the future she has always believed in.
