A native soldier, Khedr El Gebaly, is in love with Saadeya, a girl from his village, and wants to marry her. On a train journey, he meets Metwaly El Zanaty, a kind man who is pressured by his uncle and mother to take revenge for his father's death at the hands of Khedr's family. Despite his reservations, Metwaly joins the army and meets Khedr again, and their friendship deepens. However, they soon discover that Khedr is the son of the man who killed Metwaly's father, leading Metwaly to feel torn between his friendship and his desire for revenge.
