Ebenezer Scrooge, a professional miser, loathes Christmas, viewing it as a humbug. He rejects his nephew's festive sentiments and refuses his servant Bob Cratchit's request for a day off. Just as Scrooge is alone, he's confronted by the ghost of his late companion Jacob Marley, who warns him to change his ways and be haunted by three spirits: the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
