A powerful Russian-made satellite weapon's control device is stolen by terrorists, who are subsequently shot down while attempting to escape. The device, still active, is now perched atop K2, its destination uncertain. A team of elite climbers is assembled to reach the device and disable it, but their perilous journey is complicated by the harsh winter conditions. As they prepare to depart, a team member dies under suspicious circumstances, leading to concerns that a mole from the terrorist group may be among them.
