A student named Balu, studying at IIT Chennai, visits his best friend Karthik's hometown of Theni during summer break. There, he falls for Karthik's sister Hema, a playful prankster. However, when Balu gets into a fight with a group of rowdies, he must now protect Hema's family from their wrath.
