In the small town of Rainbow Valley, a new road is desperately needed, and John Martin, a newcomer, takes on the challenge to build it. However, Rogers, a local resident, has other plans and alters the town's petition to the Governor, resulting in the release of his boss, Butch Galt, a notorious criminal. Butch, a former cellmate of John's, manipulates him into agreeing to destroy the road, providing him with explosives.
