In the film, a renowned director, Paul Robaix, is married to Lucy Dell, a celebrated actress. Robaix is determined to adapt the classic play Madame Butterfly, but he refuses to cast his wife in the lead role, unlike in his previous projects. To circumvent this, producer Sam Lewis and Lucy devise a plan. Lucy disguises herself as a Geisha and secures the leading part. However, when Robaix discovers the deception, he becomes enraged, threatening to divorce his wife.
