Girls About Town background

Girls About Town

A pair of cunning women exploit the wealth of elderly gentlemen, but one of them unexpectedly finds herself enamored with a youthful millionaire.

Kay Francis and Lilyan Tashman, two gold-diggers, prey on lonely businessmen at conventions, showering them with lavish gifts. Francis develops feelings for Joel McCrea, a poor but virtuous man, while Tashman is wooed by Eugene Paulette, a wealthy copper king. However, Paulette's wife surprisingly responds to her husband's infidelity not with anger, but by trying to emulate her rival's style.
