Logger Vick, after a long year of labor, finds himself unable to afford a train ticket home for the holidays. Determined to make it back, he resorts to a tree-chopping frenzy to make up the difference, but his animal friends, Briar Bear and Bramble Bear, rally to defend the forest. As they work together to stop Vick's destruction, they learn of his desperate plight and hatch a plan to help him reach his hometown for the holidays, overcoming obstacles and challenges along the way.
