In a future not so far away, Joel Robinson is imprisoned by Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank, subjected to a barrage of low-budget films on the Satellite of Love with the assistance of his robotic companions: Cambot, Gypsy, Tom Servo, and Crow T. Robot.

Zany mad scientist Dr. Clayton Forrester and his assistant Frank kidnap janitor Joel and send him into orbit on the Satellite of Love.
