David Copperfield lives a peaceful life with his mother and housekeeper until his mother remarries the strict Mr. Murdstone, who sends him to a boarding school and later to a London factory after his mother's death. David befriends Mr. Micawber and later finds refuge with his aunt Betsey, who sends him to a fine school. As he grows older, David faces various challenges, including his wife's death and his aunt's financial loss, but with the help of friends and family, he overcomes adversity and ultimately sees justice served against the deceitful Uriah Heep.
