Stranded on a tropical island, a yacht owner finds herself surrounded by a quirky group of companions, including her high-society friends, a zany husband-and-wife research team, and a charming singing sailor.

A luxurious yacht party turns disastrous when it hits a reef and sinks, stranding high-society guests on a deserted island. A singing sailor, Stephen Jones, helps Doris Worthington survive, but his attempts at leadership are initially rebuffed by the group. As they struggle to find food, Stephen's resourcefulness prevails, and the group reluctantly follows his lead. Meanwhile, Doris finds herself drawn to the sailor's charms, adding a romantic twist to their survival ordeal.
