Private's Progress

A disgraced British officer is unexpectedly given a second chance by his influential uncle, a high-ranking military officer, to lead a clandestine mission to reclaim stolen artworks from the Nazis during World War II.

Stanley Windrush's university studies are cut short when he's drafted towards the end of World War II. As he struggles to adapt, he teams up with cunning Private Cox, who's an expert at navigating the Army's chaotic bureaucracy, and Stanley's uncle, a high-ranking War Office official, whose motives seem shrouded in secrecy.
