TV presenter Will Chaney is a devoted father to his pre-teen son Benjamin, and their bond is the only positive outcome of his failed marriage. As a result of the divorce, Will and his son spend limited quality time together, with Will picking him up and dropping him off at the airport during school holidays. He meets Jane, a single mother, who is going through a similar situation with her daughter. Despite their reservations, they are encouraged by their friends to start dating, and eventually, their kids give their blessing. Will must now decide between pursuing a promotion and risking his relationship with Jane.
