A group of sailors, led by Hurricane Smith, escape a South Seas island by stealing a ship from Captain Raikes, who was searching for slaves. They sail to Australia, where they charter the ship to Harry Gorvahlsen and Dr. Whitmore, who claim to be studying flora and fauna. However, it's revealed that they're actually searching for a hidden cache of gold.
