Silver City background

Silver City

A disgraced mining engineer, fleeing a botched office heist, finds redemption by assisting a desperate father and daughter in extracting silver ore from their mine before the lease expires.

Mining engineer Larkin Moffatt is wrongfully accused of complicity in a robbery and is forced to open his own assay office. He takes on a new client, Candace Surrency, who is struggling to extract silver from a mine that is about to revert to its greedy owner, R. R. Jarboe. Moffatt's expertise helps the Surrencys strike silver, but Jarboe refuses to extend the lease, seeking to benefit from the strike himself. Desperate, the Surrencys ask Moffatt to become the mine's foreman, and he agrees after noticing Jarboe's ruthless tactics. As Moffatt and Candace fall in love, his former partner Charlie Storrs appears in town, seeking to buy the mine from Jarboe.
