Rush background

Rush

Stories of the lives of people who lived near the goldfields in Australia's bush during the 1850s.

Rush is a historical drama taking place during the Victorian Gold Rush in the 1850s. The first series was filmed at "Crocker's Gully," an imaginary goldfield created for the show on the foothills of the Dandenongs, near Melbourne. The village depicted in the first season mimics Samuel Thomas Gill's lithographs, which capture life on Victorian goldfields during the 1850s. The second season is set in a fictional New South Wales town called Turon Springs, depicting life in the 1860s.
