Fahri, a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, struggles to cope with the loss of his wife Aisha, who disappeared during a trip to Palestine with her girlfriend. He spends his days immersing himself in work, research, and business, trying to distract himself from his grief. Despite his efforts, Fahri remains desperate and miserable, and the search for Aisha has been ongoing for over two years. As he tries to rebuild his life, Fahri becomes determined to improve the image of Islam and Muslims in the first world, helping those in need and spreading knowledge about his religion. However, he is faced with the unsettling question of whether he will remain single forever or if he will ever be reunited with Aisha.
