In 1938 Los Angeles, the manager of the Culver Hotel temporarily leaves his nephew in charge, who decides to rename the hotel the Hotel Rainbow and unwittingly attracts a motley crew of guests, including royalty, assassins, spies, tourists, and famous actors from a beloved classic film. Amidst the chaos, a Secret Service agent and a casting director discover love amidst the intrigue.
