Set in Argentina during the economic slump of the 1990s, the film is a poignant portrait of a family struggling with financial difficulties and personal conflicts. Aging slacker Gustavo lives for his children, soccer, and rock 'n' roll. He shares custody with his ex-wife Cecilia, who announces plans to move to Paraguay with their kids. Gustavo's eldest daughter Amanda decides to stay with her father in Buenos Aires, determined to take on adult responsibilities and help her father's record store succeed.
