The Golden Idol background

The Golden Idol

Bomba, the brave and adventurous jungle boy, springs into action to retrieve a stolen golden idol from the treacherous Arab chieftain Ali Ben Mamoud, who has pilfered it from the Watusi tribe.

In the jungle, a valuable treasure known as the Lost Idol of Watusi has fallen into the hands of Bomba. A ruthless Arabian chieftain, Ali Ben Mamoud, hires a soldier of fortune, Joe Hawkins, to steal the treasure. Meanwhile, a British museum scientist, Karen Marsh, and Commissioner Barnes are also on the hunt, along with a group of locals. As the treasure changes hands, a series of events unfolds, including an underwater fight between Hawkins and Bomba, and the drowning of Mamoud by a massive water snake. In the end, the surviving plotters are arrested, while Bomba and his chimp companion disappear into the jungle.
