In early-first-century Jerusalem, during Passover, Pontius Pilate, the fifth governor of Judaea, faces a difficult decision. He is forced to choose between releasing Jesus of Nazareth or Barabbas, a murderer, from Roman custody. The crowd demands the release of Barabbas, and Jesus takes his place on the cross.
Barabbas
A former convict, Barabbas, is unexpectedly released from prison in place of Jesus, who is sentenced to death as a heretic, leaving a lasting impression on Barabbas.
