A warren of rabbits, led by Hazel, his brother Fiver, and their friends Blackberry and Bigwig, embark on a journey to find a new home after a vision warns of their old home's destruction. With the help of new allies, including a gull and a mouse, they discover Watership Down, where they must establish their warren and defend it against human threats, predators, and the tyrannical General Woundwart.
