Based on the video game, in Japan's coastal waters, martial artist Ryu received an invitation from his friend Ken Masters along with some American money. He traveled to the United States and Ken picked him up at the airport. Upon arriving in San Francisco, Ryu and Ken embarked on a quest to find bars in the city. During their travels, they encountered Guile, who had defeated someone at a bar fight. It turned out that the person was actually part of Air Force pilot Guile's crew. Ryu fought but lost to Guile easily, while Ken also struggled against him. After defeating both opponents, Ken realized that Guile was an exceptional fighter he had never seen before. Both Ryu and Ken decided to venture into the world to learn from street fighters like Guile. Their journey led them into a conspiracy involving a criminal organization.
