A group of 7 people sneaked aboard a mysterious spaceship at an academy, including Harlan, the athletic leader from Earth; Catalina, the Saturnian rainbow-head with a sonic scream; Bova, the negative sour-pus Uranian who can generate electricity; Rosie, the happy Mercurian who radiates heat; and Radu, the Andromedan with super strength and hearing. They also included Mrs. T.J. Davenport, the principal at the academy, and Commander Seth Goddard, their teacher/commander. Onboard they met an android named Thelma, who informed them that they were on a spaceship called Christa, which was half living. As they approached a dangerous hole, they realized it would take seven years to reach another dimension if they went through it. Along their journey, they encountered many hardships and enemies, like Suzee (Catalina's imaginary friend from another dimension who got pulled into this one) and Warlard Shank (the archenemy of them).
