In 1981, Gerd Heidemann, a bloodhound reporter for German magazine Stern, uncovers Hitler's personal diaries, believing it to be the most significant literary discovery of the century. Despite their greed, he and his colleagues at Stern struggle to reveal this historic scoop, unaware that the diaries are actually crude forgeries. A true story.
