DCI Ross Tanner and his deputy Catherine Tully are leading a homicide investigation into the brutal murder of a 19-year-old boy. Among the suspects include a gardener who may have been supplying the victim with drugs, a live-in nanny suspected of an affair with the victim, an overprotective mother grappling with her new two-year-old daughter's influence on their relationship, and a step-father whose work interfered with his intimacy with the victim.
