A team of experts, including Dr. Sloan Parker, Dr. Ed Tate, and Tom Daniels, stumble upon a hidden dominant humanoid species seeking to supplant humans.

Young bioanthropologist Dr. Sloan Parker takes over secret DNA research at Whitney University in Southern California, continuing the work of her murdered mentor, Dr. Ann Coulter. Coulter believed that global warming had given rise to a new, intelligent human species, one that aims to eradicate Homo sapiens, mirroring humanity's own history of eliminating competing species through manifest destiny.
