Guy Foster, an unemployed journalist and aspiring novelist, finds himself home alone as Melissa goes out with friends at a party. Later that night, Melissa calls him while he's driving; she asks him to join her. Unbeknownst to Guy, the police are investigating a crime scene where his wife has been strangled. The more Guy drives, the more he realizes he is being targeted: mysterious phone calls, multiple dead bodies, and an eccentric psychiatrist who treats him for anger management issues but recalls not meeting him. With time running out to solve the case, Guy must navigate a web of deception to uncover the truth behind his wife's murder.
