Every year, thousands of high school students from across the country audition for The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts' YoungArts program, which offers the opportunity to be mentored by some of the world's greatest artists in a hands-on classroom setting. The nine-part HBO Family documentary series, "Masterclass," follows this unique program, capturing intimate moments where renowned artists share their expertise with select young talent. In each episode, an artist mentors a small group of exceptionally talented teenagers, while also reflecting on how these interactions are two-way learning experiences for both the teacher and student.
