Johnny Maxwell and his friends embark on an exciting adventure after being asked to look after eccentric homeless woman Mrs Tachyon while she's hospitalized. During their visit, Mrs Tachyon reveals that her black bags or "Bags of Time" have special properties capable of creating time gates. The children find themselves transported during the Blitz in a different era where prejudices are prevalent. Upon returning home, they discover an unexpected twist: Johnny's grandmother died during the bombing as a teenage girl, meaning his mother and therefore he were never born. Faced with a race against time to fix history before more bombs fall, can the group prevent the future from collapsing?
