In Australia's version of the reality game show where teams of 2 people give up their electronic devices and are released at a common point, they become fugitives with an overnight bag and access to $500 in cash (a debit card with $300 and $200). Each pair must evade capture while traveling across Victoria. As the run, they're pursued by four groups of hunters under the control of elite investigators who have access to their bank accounts and mobile phone records. These "powers of the state" include automatic number plate recognition and closed-circuit television. 24 hours before the end of the hunt, fugitives call a designated number for clues to an extraction point, while hunters remain unaware of this information. The group that reaches the extraction point first without being captured by Hunters will share in the prize money.
