After years of declining birth rates, humans have lost territory to the intelligent "Fairies", leaving only a few remaining among the remnants of human civilization. Despite their diminished status, a young heroine takes on her grandfather's role as mediator between humans and Fairies, expecting an easy task. However, she soon finds it's much more complicated than she anticipated, and she must navigate the Fairies' strange habits while maintaining good relations.
