In 2071 post-apocalyptic Japan, mysterious Aragami creatures have destroyed much of humanity. The Fenrir organization was formed to combat these monsters using "God Arcs," weapons derived from Aragami cells. God Eaters are those skilled in exterminating Aragami. Originally, their God Arcs could only maintain one form but a new type has emerged that can switch between gun and blade forms. Since then, they have been categorized as new-types alongside the old types.
