Markos, a car mechanic, and Alexandra, a tailor, fall in love in Athens in 1955 amidst simple everyday moments that lead to an unexpected conflict. The region of Messinia, with its large farms, is shocked by their love affair when it becomes public knowledge. This leads to misunderstandings and wrong relationships. Intrigue and underground feuds ensue as the lord of the area, Iasonas Demertzis, falls in love with Alexandra. When she loses Marco, who is convicted of murder, he marries her unaware that she is pregnant. Markos, released from prison, aims to take revenge but must first become powerful enough to defeat his opponent. The war between them continues until their dreams are shattered and the innocent are wronged. In such moments, revenge becomes the only path left.
