Lindsey, a schoolgirl aspiring to become an Olympic diver, faces challenges when her supportive father Stewart leaves home while her mother Jacqueline moves in with their new boyfriend. In a twist of fate, she has sex with 16-year-old Robert, resulting in pregnancy. Despite her fear that he won't be supportive, Robert agrees to take the ultrasound and is later offered financial assistance for an abortion along with money for a flat by Alex, Robert's brother who returned from Afghanistan after serving his military duties. After some conflict, Lindsey and Robert reunite at the baby's birth where she resumes her diving career, now watched over by her partner and child.
