The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is one of the largest police forces globally. However, when an elected sheriff passes away, a peculiar rule in the county charter from the Wild West suddenly makes Bill Hollister, a fifth-generation lawman, take on the job unexpectedly. Born and raised to uphold justice, Bill wears a white hat and takes on the challenges head-on. Despite political maneuverings, he leads a highly skilled team at LA County General Hospital.
