Comet (12 years old as a human) is the princess of Harmonica Star Country, set to meet the prince at a ball in Tambourine Star Country. However, he's not there, so Comet sets out on her journey to Earth. She'll be known by the starlight in her eyes and meets people from different worlds. Princess Meteor from Castanet Star Country also arrives seeking the prince. Comet's companion is Rubba Ball, a little puppy with a star at the end of his tail. Comet wasn't the first to visit Earth; another did before her and married. Her pet was a white cat named Bunny with bunny ears and a tiny heart on her tail who continued life as a kind of fairy in the forest. Comet's power comes from the stars of her home, channeled through her baton, and she wears a special pendant that helps her detect and find the prince.
